Video: Panel Discussion on the Elliot Controversy and the 1963 BF&M: A 50-Year Retrospective

Yesterday, I was honored to host Dr. Greg Wills and Dr. John Mark Yeats, along with Midwestern Seminary’s own Dr. Michael McMullen, for a panel discussion entitled The Elliott Controversy & the 1963 BF&M: a 50 year Retrospective. Meeting in Kanas City in 1963, the Southern Baptist Convention adopted the first-ever revision of the Baptist Faith and Message, which had been adopted in 1925. It was an encouraging time as we talked about the origins of the controversy, its immediate ramifications, and the broader narratives of theological renewal, confessional integrity, and the truthfulness of God’s Word. You can watch the entire panel discussion below.
